To make innovative higher technical education accessible to everyone, the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) was founded in 1984. The innovative teaching-learning practices of VIT have been spread in the different parts of the country through their campuses known by the names of VIT-Bangalore, VIT-Andhra Pradesh, VIT-Bhopal, & VIT-Chennai.
As all of these institutional wings are established by VIT, thus, they all are approved by University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India.
